Frank Arender

August 26, 1941 — April 7, 2025

Franklin D. Arender, 83, of Cash, passed from this life on Monday, April 7, 2025. He was born on August 26, 1941, in Cash, Arkansas, to the late Claude “Jack” and Velma Arender.

Frank was a longtime member of Cash Baptist Church and attended faithfully until his health no longer allowed. In his younger years, he found great joy in the outdoors—spending time fishing, visiting the lake, water skiing, and riding motorcycles.

He dedicated many years of his life to hard work and craftsmanship, working for J&O Diesel for 20 years before retiring from Arkansas Glass after another 20 years of service.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brother, Claude Arender; and his sister, Shirley Redwine.

He is survived by his children: sons, Bethard Arender of Cash and Jason Arender of Jonesboro; and daughter, Lacrisha Russell (Johnny) of Jonesboro. He also leaves behind his brothers, Amos Arender of Perry, Michigan, Kater Arender and Cartion Arender, both of Egypt, and Jerry Arender of Lapeer, Michigan; and sisters, Margie Diggs of Walnut Ridge, Viola Crowell of Bono, and Pam Simpson of Jonesboro.

Frank's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Tyler Griese, Gabriel Arender, Jordan Arender, Justin Tillman, Romeo Tillman, James Tillman, Chance Arender, and Creed Arender; and great-grandchildren, Jaylen Arender and Dallas Arender.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home, with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Harold McMickle. Burial will follow at Cash Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Wesley Parnell, Pete Nicholas, Freddie Black, Ronnie Brewer, Shawn Taylor, Jimmy Cook, and Dennis Beavers. Honorary pallbearers include Morstein Watkins and Jim Cook.

Frank will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for the outdoors, and the deep love he had for his family.
