Francis Louise Sawyer

Francis Louise Sawyer, 83 of Lake City, Arkansas died Sunday May 21, 2006 at NEA Medical Center.

She was born to Jim and Clara Woods in Tuckerman, Arkansas on December 6, 1922. She had lived most of her life in the Caraway and Lake City area and was of the Baptist belief. She was married to the late Milton Sawyer Sr. for 65 years.

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Lillian Cosby, Jimmie Gillihan and Lucille Woods, One daughters; Melba Sawyer. Two sons; David Lavon Sawyer and William Milton Sawyer III “Peanut”.

Survivors include four daughters; Liz Chisnall and her husband Terry of Lake City; Clara Johnson of Lake City, Marie Bell and her husband Rusty of Rockford, Ill. And Carla Arana of West Helena, AR and one missing daughter Denise Knapp
Three sons; Lee Sawyer of Lake City, James Sawyer and his wife Paulette of Highland, AR, and Bill Sawyer and his wife Deloris of Queen City, TX. Four sisters; Melbadine Arquette of Kelso, WA., Dixie Parker of Manila, AR, Charlene Duncan of Tucson, AZ and Ann O’Brian of Tucson, AZ. One brother Sidney Woods of Little Rock, AR. 22 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday May 23, 2006 at the Emerson Funeral Home Chapel in Lake City with the Rev. Lloyd Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the Emerson Funeral Home in Lake City.

Active Pallbearers will be; Eric Presley, Michael Wright Jr, Bobby Morley, Johnny Sawyer, Greg Sawyer, and Mike Carner.

Honorary Pallbearers will be; Tommy Lauderdale, Mike Johnson, Terry Chisnall, Rusty Bell, Josh Taylor.
