Frances Galante

June 21, 1918 — November 4, 2014

Frances Galante, 96, of Jonesboro passed away on November 4, 2014 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Ney York, Ney York on June 21, 1918 to the late Frank and Fannie Liamari. She had lived in Jonesboro for 17 years, moving here from Whitestone, New York.

She worked as a seamstress for 20 years at the Bloomingdale’s Department Store in New York City and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Miss Frannie loved her senior club, loved to dance and play cards with her group. She was a wonderful sassy, spirited woman and an amazing cook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Edward Galante.

Survived by her sons; William Galante and wife Susan of New York, New York, and Frank Galante and wife Collette of Temecula, California.
Daughter; Annie Ford and husband Paul of Jonesboro.

Her beloved companion “Sadie” her dog and many, many special relatives and friends.

9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren whom she adored and loved.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday November 7, 2014 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Jack Vu officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

There will be no visitation.

Flowers may be sent to the home of Paul and Annie Ford or memorials be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1138 E. Matthews Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
