Frances E. Petty

Mrs. Frances E. Petty of Jonesboro, left this life Friday, December 6, 2013, at St. Elizabeth's Place. She was born March 11, 1924, in Miston, Tennessee. She was a member of Greensboro Road Church of Christ, a homemaker and was retired from Frolic Footwear.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Petty, her parents: Noah and Bertha Coleman, two sons: Darrell Douglas and Hank Petty, and one sister, Elizabeth Coleman.

Survivors include 3 daughters: Peggy Shackelford of Southaven, Mississippi, Audrey Grooms of Bartlett, Tennessee, and Shirley Winn of Jonesboro; five sons: Larry Douglas (Becky) of Jonesboro, Danny Douglas of Paragould, Nathan Douglas (Shirley) of Perryville, Arkansas, and Joe Petty and Shawn Petty, both of Jonesboro; one brother, Gene Coleman of Osceola; 19 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great, great grandson.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, December 9, 2013, at 2:00 at Woods Chapel Cemetery south of Paragould with Bill Willard officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

There will be no visitation.
