Frances Elaine Bower

Frances Elaine Bower, 79, of Jonesboro, went to be with her Lord on May 17, 2020, at NEA Baptist Hospital.  She had lived in Jonesboro since 1973.  She was a member of Cathedral Missionary Baptist Church and for many years was the church secretary.  Her passion was to help people.  She was a registered nurse and retired from St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center.  In addition to her BS in Nursing, she also had a degree in Elementary Education. Spending time gardening and working in her flower bed gave her many hours for pleasure.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jack Bower of the home; son, Jack Bower and wife Whitney of Little Rock; brother Dewayne McElroy of California; granddaughter, Laney Bower and her mother Robin Ringo Bower; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be 2:00 Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Yadkin Cemetery near Ravenden Springs with Ken Beaver officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.  Visitation will be from 1:30 until service time.
