Foster Teague

January 4, 1929 — September 26, 2011

Foster Teague, 82, of Jonesboro died Monday, September 26, 2011 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born in Harrisburg, graduate of Trumann, and had lived in Jonesboro most of his life and was a member of the Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. Foster was a member of the Teamsters Union and served in the US Army during the Korean War and a member of the American Legion. He drove for Great Southern Coaches, MDR Cartage and was currently employed by PTI Transportation Company.

Foster was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Leota Teague; three brothers, Bill Teague, Marion Teague and Dennis Teague.

Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Stella Teague, of the home; son, Ronnie Foster Teague and wife, Donna of Jonesboro; daughters, Kathy Hall and husband, Ritchie Hall; Patty Willard and husband, Steve all of Jonesboro; Sheila Goudie and husband, Richard of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Matthew Hall, Jason Hall, Jacob Goudie, Ronna Teague, Ryan Foster Teague; great grandchildren, Katelyn Hall, Bethany Hall, Lexi Hall and Keegan Davis.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Mike Book and Don Vuncannon officiating and Matt Hall serving as a eulogist. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery with Matthew Hall, Jason Hall, Jacob Goudie, Ryan Foster Teague, Owen Wilson and Rick Cooper serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Gordon Fultz, Loyd Hogue, and the Men of Prospect Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time on Saturday at Emerson Memorial Chapel. For those wishing to leave lasting memorials, the family requests you consider the Prospect Baptist Church Building Fund, 4200 E. Johnson, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
