Fonja Kaye VanCleve, 59, of Jonesboro entered into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Tuesday, August 12, 2014. She was born in Jonesboro and had spent most of her life here and was of the Baptist belief. Fonja was born December 28, 1954 to D.L. and Virginia Pierce VanCleve. She is preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother. Fonja graduated from Jonesboro High and Ouachita Baptist University. She will be remembered as kind and caring. She loved her children with all her heart.
Survivors include her father, D.L. VanCleve and his wife Mary Frances of Jonesboro; a son, Briggs Bruton and his wife J.J. of Haskell, 3 daughters, Tinley Washington and husband Parker of Lonoke; Lane Bruton of Greenbriar; Whitney Whelchel of Paragould; 2 sisters, Tarsa Risinger and husband Carl of Round Rock, Texas; Jerrie Kennedy and husband John of Yukon, Oklahoma; 2 granchildren, Zoe Bruton and Mac Bruton. She especially loved her nephew, Jason and his family of Cedar Park, Texas.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1-2 P.M., August 16, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel followed by service at 2 P.M. with Bro. Mike Martin officiating. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
