Floyd E. Manry, 87, of Jonesboro died Friday, February 14, 2014 at the HPH Hospice House in Hudson, Florida. He had lived most of his life in the Jonesboro area. Floyd was of the Methodist belief. He was an Arkansas State College graduate in 1952. He was the plant manager at Singer, Ethan Allen and Baldwin during his work career. Floyd was in the US Army serving during WWII and the Korean War. He was the recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for Valor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Mandy Manry, three brothers, two sisters and Thomas Lowrey, a son-in-law.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mary Lynn Manry, of the home; son, Phil Manry (Brenda) of Jonesboro; daughters, Karen Lowrey of Hudson Florida; Heather Ziemba (Jerry) of Charlotte, North Carolina; sister, Leona Jennero of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Leigh Ann Brewer, Andrea Haddock, Matthew Ziemba; great grandchildren, Lylleigh Haddock, Jackson Brewer and Jake Brewer.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 22, 2013 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Winford Bridges officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 10:00 Saturday morning until service time.
