Florene Dent Dixon of Jonesboro passed away on January 11, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her children. She was born on April 25, 1929, to the late Alfred and Edith Dent in the Annieville Community near Imboden, Arkansas. She moved to her home on Mount Carmel Road in 1947 and enjoyed being a part of the Valley View Community. She was a faithful member of Cathedral Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Dixon; son-in-law Gary Horne; and sisters, Pauline Justus and Alene Bratcher. She is survived by her children, June Horne, Annette (Jerry) Carr, Diane (Gaylon) Pierce, all of Jonesboro; Nolan (Sandie) Dixon of Cherokee Village; Traci (Myron) Cole of Mammoth Spring; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Dixon of Smithville; 9 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Family graveside service will be at New Pleasant Grove Cemetery at Annieville on Wednesday, January 14, at 11am, with Pastor Ken Beaver officiating.
