Flora C. Spurlock

Flora C. Spurlock, 88, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. She had lived most of her life in Northeast Arkansas and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and the Craighead County Retired Teacher’s Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her nieces and nephews Ruth Vaughn and husband Sonny; Lowell Spurlock and wife Maudie, all of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; Margarett Brewer and husband Freman, Cash, Arkansas; Mary Ann Patterson and Lela Dann of St. Louis; Floyd Spurlock and wife Barbara, Bismarck, Missouri; Bonnie Swan, Kansas City, Kansas; Sam Spurlock and wife Pat, Jonesboro; Lois Collings and husband Bruce, Lafayette, Indiana, Mary Bess Spurlock, New York, New York; Frank Spurlock, Brooklyn, Ohio and Martha Drannon and husband Tom, Germantown, Tennessee.

A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday. March 13, 2009 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Tom Carpenter and Reverend Matt Smith officiating with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements and burial will be private. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M., until service time.
