Fannie R. Gibson

Fannie R. Gibson, 85, of Jonesboro, died Saturday morning, March 2, 2013, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born in Booneville, Mississippi, Fannie lived in Cash before moving to Jonesboro 49 years ago. She worked several years at Frolic Footwear before moving to Riceland Foods where she retired. She was a member of Cash Baptist Church.

Fannie was preceded in death by her parents: W.C. and Linda Coy Ratliff Barnett, by her husband, Leon Gibson, and by 2 brothers: Calvin Paul Barnett and William C. “Billy” Barnett.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Linda (Charles) Honeycutt of Bono;

3 sons, Stanley Wade Gibson of Brighton, Tennessee, William Scott (Sheree) Gibson of Finksburg, Maryland, and Anthony Leon Gibson of Brandon, Florida;

1 sister, Evelyn Benefield of Byhalia, Mississippi;

9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

There will be no funeral service or visitation. Burial will be private.
