Evelyn Elizabeth Wooldridge, 86, of Jonesboro, departed this life on January 26, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born to Lawrence and Esther Milligan at Milligan Ridge near Manila on November 20, 1939.

Evelyn was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Jonesboro. She enjoyed watching television, observing animals, joking and laughing with others, and was known as a happy person with a kind and gentle soul. She especially loved her dog, Bandit, who brought her much joy and companionship. Evelyn was a wonderful cook and was known for making delicious turnip greens. She also had a great love for catfish, and she and her son Johnathon often enjoyed going to Ed’s Catfish for the all-you-can-eat buffet. She devoted her life to caring for her adopted son, Johnathon, and did everything she could for him.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Arvil Wooldridge, Barry Wooldridge, and Bear Strong; her sisters, Virginia Wrinkles and Mary Sellers; her brother, John Milligan; and her nephew, Bobby Matlock.

She is survived by her son, Johnathon Wooldridge; her sisters, Peggy Tajalli, Joyce Elliott, and Doris Allen; and her grandchild, Chassity Ann Strong.
