Evelyn Thompson

Evelyn Thompson, “Sis”, 91, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at her home.

Born in Craighead County to William Roy Howell and Mattie (Malone) Howell, she lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She was a retired General Electric employee and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Wyatt; husband, Harold Thompson; two brothers, William and Harold; and her sister, Jane.

She is survived by her son, Rick Thompson (Susan); grandson, Jon Thompson (Chelsea) all of Jonesboro; three great-grandchildren, Jack, Evie, Walt; and many nieces, nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026 with funeral services immediately following at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Charlie Sigman officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Dennis Graham, Bo Earnhart, Mike Hamilton, Ryan Murphy, Ray Taylor, and Jon Thompson.
