Evelyn Lucille Patrick, 71, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at St. Bernards Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 15, 1953, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to the late Othel Vernon and Florence Evelyn Park.
Evelyn’s journey led her from Union Pier, Michigan, to Jonesboro in 1992, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was a talented crocheter, an avid knitter, and found joy in playing card games and video games. More than anything, she was a devoted grandmother, always ready to chase and play with her grandchildren, filling their lives with warmth and happiness. She also had a passion for planting flowers, bringing beauty wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Daniel Patrick; her brother, David Park; two precious great-grandchildren, Mark Hall and Brileigh Patrick; and several aunts and uncles.
Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 52 years, Ralph Patrick of the home; her loving children, Matthew Vernon Patrick of Jonesboro and Jennifer Patrick of the home; her brother, Othel Vernon Park Jr. (Julie) of Indiana; her sisters, Hazel West (Dallas) of Jonesboro, Brenda Gesse of Michigan, and Arvella Bagwell (Roger) of Cave City. She was also blessed with eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a lifetime of dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Evelyn’s life at Emerson Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Trinity Cemetery in Bono.
