October 1, 1948 — July 26, 2022

Evelyn (Lyn) Paris Moseley Hubbard died peacefully on July 26, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with bladder cancer. Lyn was born Oct 1, 1948 in New Orleans, LA. and raised in Selma, AL.

She was preceded in death by her first mother, Christine Paris Moseley and her parents Dr and Mrs. Sam Moseley, Jr., a daughter Blair Hubbard of Jonesboro, her sister Janet L Moseley and grandparents Dr and Mrs. Sam Moseley, Sr all of Selma and Mr. and Mrs. Earl P Paris of New Orleans.

After attending MSCW and Auburn University, she discovered her career passion, radiologic technology. She graduated from Emory University Hospital Radiography Program in 1973. While there she completed mammography training under the man considered to be the "Father of Mammography", Dr. Robert L Egan. Following graduation, she began her career with The American Cancer Society (ACS) and National Institute of Health (NIH) in one of the breast cancer early detection screening projects that had been set up nationwide to determine if screening mammograms on younger, asymptotic women would be beneficial. Screening mammography is now the gold standard for early breast cancer detection.

Survivors include her husband, Ted, of the home, a daughter Meg Hubbard Williamson (Andrew) of Cullman, AL and a son, Matt Hubbard (Lillie) of Rogers, AR. She also leaves her precious grandchildren, Finn and Ian Williamson of Cullman and Hudson and Haley Hubbard of Rogers.

Additionally, she is survived by sisters Jean Moseley Massey (Joe) and Margaret Moseley Hudson (Bobby), a brother Bob Moseley (Ann) and sister-in-law Lois Hubbard Lucas (Glenn) all of Alabama, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
