Evelyn Bernice Phillips Lopez

Evelyn Bernice Phillips Lopez, 86, of Jonesboro, died Saturday evening at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She had lived in Jonesboro since 2004, moving here from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Lopez.

She is survived by her nieces, Ella Breazeale of Jonesboro, Betty Penn, of Benton, Janice Williams, of Salem, Oregon, and Raymell Goodwin, of Nashville, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. James Goodwin officiating, Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Visitation will be from noon until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
