Eva Leverne Franklin

Eva Leverne Creason Franklin, 91, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Craighead County Nursing Center. She had lived her entire life in Jonesboro and was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Virgil Creason and L. W. Franklin; three children, Sammy Lee Creason, Gary Lynn Creason, and Callie Sue Franklin; and one grandchild, Erik Creason.

Leverne is survived by one son, William “Bill” Franklin, Jonesboro; one sister Helen Willis, of Maryland; six grandchildren, Gary Creason, Jr., John Creason, Candace Holcom, Naomi Creason, Ty Creason and Jennifer Franklin Long; one great grandson, Brandon Creason.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Larry Bailey officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Honorary pallbearers are her Sunday School Class at Central Baptist Church. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from noon on Tuesday until service time.
