Eugene Franklin Miller

Eugene Franklin Miller, 97, of Springfield, TN passed from this life Friday, February 22, 2019 at his home. He was born September 1, 1921 in Jones, OK to the late Benjamin and Mabel Miller.

Before moving to Springfield, TN just a few years ago, Eugene lived most of his life in the Trumann and Jonesboro areas. While living here, Eugene was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Eugene also served in our country’s Army during World War 2.

In addition to his parents, Eugene is preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Miller and a sister, Ester Shelton.

He is survived by his daughter; Ellen Miller (Kelly) Johnson of Springfield, TN; grandson, David Patrick Sawyer; nieces, Emma Stone and Gale Stringer of Jonesboro and cousin Paul Hale of Trumann.

Visitation will be Monday, February 25, 2019 from 5-7 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Jonesboro with Pastor Russell Shewmaker officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
