Eugene McCain, 80, of Jonesboro passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born August 20, 1939 in Lake City to the late Kay Allen McCain and Dorothy Lee Green. Eugene worked for many years at Arkansas Glass in Jonesboro and Automated Conveyor Systems in West Memphis. He was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church where he loved to sing. Eugene also enjoyed helping mow at the church. He also enjoyed singing karaoke and fixing things.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Betty McCain of the home; son, David Allen McCain of Olive Branch, Mississippi; 4 daughters, Elizabeth Lynne (Jimmie) Lucy of Horn Lake, Mississippi, Karen Darlene (Rob) Walker of Eads, Tennesse, Pavada Jean (Gary) Tosh of Jonesboro and Cynthia Lavon Long of Jonesboro; 2 sisters, Betty Jean Maddox-Lee of Hanford, California, Wanda Kay Doty of Bartlett, Tennesse; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
