Eugene Gilliam

April 10, 1931 — October 12, 2007

Eugene Gilliam, 76, of Jonesboro, died Friday morning at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born in Union County, Eugene lived at Strong, Arkansas, before moving to Jonesboro in 1954. He was a partnership owner of Key-Mo, Inc. of Jonesboro for 30 years and was an avid hunter.

Eugene was of the Baptist belief and was a member of Jonesboro Elks Lodge. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Harry, J.G. and Sam Gilliam.

Survivors include:
His wife: Joanne Roberson Gilliam of the home;

1 Daughter and Son-in-law: Becky and Perry Wimpy of Jonesboro; and

1 Sister: Betty Milford of Louisiana.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Martin officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers are Steve Bracy, Mike Martin, Kim McDaniel, Bob Rhein, Larry Jackson, Bill Goodpasture, Paul Schneider, and Don Kissinger. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery. He will be missed by the Coffee Drinking Buddies, Paul Schneider, Larry Jackson, Bill Goodpasture, Herman Schneider, Allen Hester, Ralph Sharp, Steve Bracy, Junior Cliff, and his family at Presley’s.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
