Eugene Coffel, 91, of Bono, went to be with the Lord on Monday March 24, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born in Kennett, Missouri on May 24, 1922 to the late James and Florence Coffel. Eugene had lived in Bono for 40 years and was a factory worker for General Motors. He was a member of the Valley View Church of Christ. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Imajean Coffel, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survived by his daughter; Sherry Belanger (Richard) of Hot Springs, Arkansas. A special friend for 16 years; Bonnie Colburn of Jonesboro. Brothers; Orbalee Coffel of Pontiac, Michigan. J.C. Coffel of Washington State. Euel Coffel of St. Louis, Missouri. 3 grandchildren; Tanya Taylor, Rocky Schramm and Tina McElhaney. 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 27, 2014 at the Valley View Church of Christ with Kerry Williams officiating. Entombment will be at the Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Hot Springs, Arkansas with Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday March 26, 2014 at Emerson Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Randy Simpkins, Terry Smith, Danny Wallis, Paul Wallis, Wesley Rothe and Cameron Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be the First Wednesday Men’s Luncheon. The family requests that lasting memorials be made to the Valley View Church of Christ 4500 Southwest Drive, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
