Etta E. Treadaway, 94, of Bay went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2012 at the NEA Baptist Hospital.
Etta was born in Mt Vernon on November19, 1917 to the late Robert and Elizabeth Garland. She has lived most of her life in the Bay area. She was a homemaker, and a devout Christian lady that loved to serve the Lord. She was a member of the Bay Church of Christ. She enjoyed bowling, dominos, and gathering with her senior citizen group.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Treadaway; two sons, Norman and Kenneth Treadaway; three brothers; three sisters; and one granddaughter, Amy Halfacre.
Survivors include her son, Jerry Treadaway of Trumann; four daughters, Lavern Celaya of California, Betty Davis and her husband Jackie of Trumann, Mary Branham and husband Donald of Jonesboro, and Movita Halfacre of Bay; two sisters, Irene Martz of Jonesboro, and Cleo Kimbro of Mountain Home; twelve grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Scott Treadaway, Matt Treadaway, Chris Halfacre, Shane Davis, Drew White, and Harry Vredingburgh.
Also honored to serve as honorary pallbearer is Roger McHalffey.
Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Bay Church of Christ with Gary Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
