Ethel Stevens

Ethel Mae Stevens, 73, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. She was born to the late James Matlock and Elvenia Hamilton on May 4, 1948 in Dyess, Arkansas. She worked for Wal-Mart for almost 15 years before ultimately retiring. Ethel enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. In addition to her parents, Ethel is preceded in death by her husbands, James Fredrick Beatty and Otis "Wayne" Stevens; son, David Beatty; brother, Charles Matlock; and sister, Charlotte Miller.

Ethel is survived by her sons, James Beatty of Oklahoma and Paul Beatty of Jonesboro; daughter, Amanda Blankenship; brothers, James Matlock and Danny Matlock both of Newport; sisters, Rhonda Stivers of Carlise, Kathy Matlock of Newport, and Sandra Hewitt. Ethel also leaves behind seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and six step-great grandchildren.
