Esther Uldine Ezell

Esther Ezell, 86, of Jonesboro passed from this life Sunday, March 2, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born in El Paso, Texas to the late Clarence and Mamie Craine on September 28, 1927. Esther worked for North School as a Teacher’s Aide and attended Jonesboro Worship Center. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard Ezell.


Esther is survived by her son: Gary Ezell (Linda) of Jonesboro. Daughters: Teresa Peveler (Jack) of Nashville, Tennessee, Lenita Fox (Scot) of Jonesboro, and Christy Strait (Michael) of Nashville, Tennessee. Brother: Glen Craine of Ft. Smith. Grandchildren: Jason Peveler, Stephanie Peveler, Candis Brown, Eric Fox, Joshua Strait, Michaela Strait, and four great-grandchildren.


Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jack Peveler officiating and with special speaker Rev. Scot Loyd. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with active Pallbearers being: Jason Peveler, Eric Fox, Joshua Strait, Jack Peveler, Scot Fox, Michael Strait, and Gary Ezell.

Visitation will be 12:30 - 2:00 prior to the funeral at Emerson Funeral Home. Emerson Funeral home will be in charge of all arrangements.
