Ernest “Ernie” Blair, 92 of Jonesboro died Friday, December 16, 2005, at his home. He was born in Woodside Queens N.Y. and moved to Jonesboro in 1957, moving here from Elyria Ohio.
He was retired from Colson Casters as an Administrative Assistant to the Vice President and General Manager of Colson. He was a volunteer for the United Way, a member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Scout Master for Troop 7 of the Boy Scouts of America and the Order of the Arrow. He was a volunteer at AHEC Medical Library and a member and Elder of First Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen Wilson Smith Blair, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

Services will be Monday, December 19, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at 1st Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Schaller officiating and burial to follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Stephen Blair, Shane Davis, Colin Blair, Michael lair, Ben Erwin, Jacob Smith and Mathew Tonymon. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Gill, Paul Rothgery, Fred Sitz, and Dr. Donald Guinn.
