Emma Lee Lawson

November 7, 1919 — March 3, 2008

Emma Lee Lawson, 88, of Jonesboro, died Monday evening March 3, 2008 at her home.

She was born in Blackville, Arkansas and lived in Jonesboro for thirty five years, moving here from Bay. She was a homemaker and a member of the Alsup Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Alvord Lawson, her parents. James Columbus Minick and Clara Lawrence Minick, one sister, Georgia Veteto, two brothers, Orphas and Lavon Minick.

Survived by her son, Earl J. Lawson and his wife Lora of Jonesboro.

One daughter; Roma Adams and her husband Terry of Jonesboro.

Two brothers; Reverend Leon Minick of Egypt.
Oneal Minick of Bay.

One sister; Kathryn Minick of Bay.

Seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday March 6, 2008 at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Kenneth Fields and LuAnn Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday March 5, 2008 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Active pallbearers will be Steven Lawson, Michael Hattenhauer, Mark Lawson, Anthony Watson, John Meads and Terry Adams Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Gandy, Herbert Smith, Eddie Meads and James Garrett.
