Emma E. Ishmael, 94, of Jonesboro, died Thursday morning at her home. Born in Beebe, Mrs. Ishmael lived in Cash and Lake City before moving to Jonesboro in 1973. She was retired from St. Bernard’s Medical Center and was a member of Highland Drive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ishmael was preceded in death by her parents: George and Oma Havern Nick; by her first husband: Charles Mosby; by her second husband: Virgil Ishmael; by 2 sons: James Mosby and George Mosby; and by 5 brothers, 2 sisters, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Survivors include: 3 sons: Robert Mosby of Austin, Texas, and Carl Mosby and Paul Ishmael, both of Jonesboro;
1 daughter: Juanita Bryant of Jonesboro;
18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 16 great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include: Steve Schmidt, Becky McAdoo, Paul Jones, David Garner, Leroy McQuay and Bob Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers include: Derrick Patsey, Richard Mosby, Kyle Boyd, Jonathan Mosby and Chad Snyder.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
