Elwood Lindell Massey

February 8, 1941 — October 17, 2019

Elwood Massey, 78, of Bono was born in Trumann, AR on February 8, 1941 to Ernest and Ora Massey. At aged 10 his family moved to Bono where he lived out the rest of his life. He passed away on October 17, 2019 at St Bernard’s Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Union Grove Methodist Church of Bono. He was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Massey, his parents, four sisters and two brothers.

He leaves behind his loving wife Carolyn Massey, one daughter, Cathy Heckmann, one son, David (Tabatha) Massey. Three grandchildren, Logan (Jayme) Heckmann, Sara (Stephen) Russell and Phillip Massey. Two great-granddaughters, Raylee and Brynlee Russell. He also leaves behind one brother, Jimmy Massey of Jonesboro.  He was loved and will be missed by his family, his cousins, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He loved his Lord Jesus, he loved his family and he and all of Heaven are rejoicing!

The visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Trinity Cemetery with Chris Kjorlaug officiating.
