Elvis Doyle Somers

Elvis Doyle Somers, 75 of Brookland passed from this life January 5, 2021 at his home surround by his family. He was born to the late Alzy and Mary Somers on May 29, 1945 in Jonesboro.

Doyle lived all his life in Jonesboro and was a member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Jonesboro. He spent his time working on his cars, drag racing, and even going to swap meets often. After many years of working Doyle retired from Bob’s Auto Parts.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon Somers of the home; son, Carey Somers of Brookland; and grandson, Taylor Somers of Brookland.

Visitation will be from 1:00p.m. – 2:00p.m, Friday, January 8, 2021 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Graveside service will follow at 2:30p.m at Shiloh Cemetery with Bro. Don Howard officiating. Pallbearers are Michael Summers, Darrell Sharp, Johnie Crawford, Bobby Clayton, Don Rush, and Danny Jones.
