Elmer (Buddy) Glenn Puckett, 79, of Bono passed from this life on June 2, 2016 at his home. He was born in Bono, Arkansas on September 1, 1936 to the late Roy and Maudie Sheffield Puckett. Buddy had lived in Bono most of his life and was a truck driver for Best Manufacturing Company in Jonesboro. He was a member and elder of the Peoples Faith Tabernacle Church and an Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Roy Glenn Puckett, brother, Thomas Ed Looper, Sister, Louise Verdict, Wilma Faye Puckett, and Margaret Ann Puckett.
Survived by his son, Greg Puckett, (Linda) of Bono.
Daughters, Karen Shirley, (Lanny) of Jonesboro, Rhonda Ingram (Rob) of Brookland and Holly Bennett (Gary) of Bono.
Brother, Neil Puckett (Mary Gaye) of Jonesboro.
Sister, Betty Reeves of Brookland.
9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday June 6, 2016 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Roger Brand, Ernest Puckett and Adrian “Bud” Pucket officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday June 5, 2016 at Emerson Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be James Best, Bill Puckett, Wesley Wilson, Michael Perales, Wayne Cheshier and Sergio De La Rosa Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Best Manufacturing, Wendell Wilkey, Jim Passmore, Larry Ulrich, Ray Brandon, Junior Cliff and the adult class of Peoples Faith Tabernacle Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Peoples Faith Tabernacle Church Youth Fund 1202 Sullins Street Hoxie, Arkansas 72433 or to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1138, E Matthews Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
