Ellis Logan Marshall

Ellis Logan Marshall, 95, Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Derma County, Mississippi to the late Vert and Ada Marshall on November 7, 1926.

Ellis has resided in Jonesboro for the last 67 years after coming from West Point, MS. He pastored the Church Of The Lord Jesus Christ in Trumann. Ellis loved woodworking, fishing, and traveling. Most of all, Ellis loved his family.

In addition to his parents, Ellis is preceded in death by his previous wives, Mary Marshall and Margaret Marshall; daughter, Elizabeth Darlene Stubbs; brother, Velon Marshall; sisters, Ruth Young and Eloise Ware; and grandchildren, Keith Anthony Marshall and Lisa Renee Day.

Ellis is survived by his wife, Lois Marshall of Springfield, MO; two sons, Marvin Eldridge (Evelyn) Marshall of Jonesboro and Ellis Lamar (Janice D.) Marshall of Maryville, TN; two daughters, Virginia Rose (Lesley Wayne) Pride of Wright City, MO and Ada Faye (Ronald) Bryant of Poplar Bluff, MO; 16 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Emerson Funeral Home with Everett Hart and Bill Settles officiating.

Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Art Mallory, Tony Stubbs, Jon Marshall, Benji Marshall, Kenny Wood, and Brad Pride. Honorary pallbearers will include: Kevin Marshall, Velon Marshall, Chad Marshall, Scotty Marshall, Roger Drum, Robert Wagner, and Bobby March.
