Ellen "Bunny" Hargett

Ellen Mae “Bunny” Hargett, 91, of Jonesboro, died Monday, September 23, 2013, at Twin Oaks Nursing Center in Jonesboro.A native and lifelong resident of Jonesboro, Ellen was a homemaker and member of North Main Baptist Church where she previously served as a Sunday school teacher and choir member. Ellen enjoyed reading and working in her flower garden. She also spent much time working with various crafts and collecting dolls. She had an endearing love for her pet dogs and was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Edna Beck Ellis, her husband, Terry Harget and a brother, Elmo Ellis.Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Terry Ronald and Rita Hargett of Port Edward, Wisconsin, and Bert M. and Willadean Hargett of Jonesboro;1 brother, Walter Ellis of Amarillo, Texas;1 sister and brother-in-law: Leah Ruth and Vondus Smith of Southaven, Mississippi;3 grandchildren and their spouses: Marvin and Melinda Hargett, Danny and Tammy Hargett and Toni and Chris Moskop;7 great grandchildren and their spouses: Bradley Hargett, Kimberly and Terrell Sandlin, Tiffany and Daniel Young, Matthew and Jessica Hargett, Mallorie Hargett, Blake Moskop and Austin Hargett; and3 great, great grandchildren: Elijah Sandlin, Bailey Hargett and Hayden Hargett.Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with
Rev. Bobby Crabb and Rev. James Strait officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.Active pallbearers include Grandsons Marvin Hargett, Danny Hargett, Matthew Hargett, Blake Moskop, Austin Hargett and Chris Moskop. Bradley Hargett will be an honorary pallbearer.Visitation will be held Friday from 12 noon until 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel.For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to North Main Baptist Church, 815 N.
