Ella Lorie Dapp

Ella Lorie Dapp, age 58, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, February 28, 2013, at her home of natural causes.

Born in Memphis, Lorie lived much of her life in Memphis before moving to Jonesboro in 2010 to take care of her mother-in-law following the death of her father-in-law in December 2010.

While living in Memphis, Lorie was the shipping manager at Old Time Pottery and a Presbyterian. She enjoyed flower arranging and taking care of animals. She was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Lynn Converse and her mother, Gladys “Pat” McCaffery_______.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, George Peter Dapp, Jr. of the home;

1 son and his wife, Shawn and Hope Converse of Chappel Hill, Texas;

Her father and his wife, Charles and Billie Thomas of Lindale, Texas;

1 brother and his wife, Danny and Cathy Gullick of Memphis;

2 sisters and their husbands: Pat and Bert Kobashigawa of Henderson, Nevada, and
Dyann and Don Cottam of Lakeland, Tennessee; and

Her special, special devoted canine companion, Morris “Mo” Eugene.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 11:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro. A committal service will follow at 3:00 in Memorial Gardens-Memphis, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Rd.

Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 10:00-11:00 in Emerson Chapel.
