Elizabeth A. "Susie" Roach, 83, of Jonesboro, passed away Sunday at NEA Baptist Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Trumann, Susie lived in Lepanto from 1952-1977, and Lynn from 1977-1979 before moving to Jonesboro. She operated Miss Susie's Home Day Care for several years and was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents: Joe and Queenie Foulks Alexander; by her daughter, Kevin Gail Roach; and by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Junior Roach of the home;
2 sons: Jake Roach of Jonesboro and Will Roach (Ginny Thorpe) of Mountain Home;
1 daughter, Danna Belle Haynes (Keith) of Jonesboro;
2 sisters: Nancy Jerrolds (Haskel) of Savannah, Tennessee, and Barbara Ishmael (Sammy) of Trumann;
3 grandchildren: Jeremy Bradsher (Cindy), Matthew Bradsher and Katie Cazares (Luciano); and
3 great grandchildren: Mattison Bradsher, Luciano Cazares and Sophia Cazares.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Glen Putman and Rev. Raymond Atwood officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers include members of the Businessmen Sunday School Class at Walnut Street Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Monday from 6:00 p.m.-8:00p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
