Elizabeth Ann Samuels

Elizabeth Ann Tarlton (Liz) Samuels of Jonesboro, Arkansas left this world for eternal rest at 12:14 am on Friday December 20th, 2024.  She was born June 26th, 1957, in Albuquerque, NM to John Carroll Tarlton and Norma Lee Floyd, both deceased, and was raised by her grandparents, Buck and Viola Floyd, both deceased, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.

Liz was a graduate of Walnut Ridge High School, and later attended Arkansas State University. She was an employee of Home Depot in Jonesboro, where she was highly recognized as a flooring specialist. Liz was an avid reader, with a passion for history and music. She was a Christian, very patriotic, and had an amazing memory for historical events and musical trivia. Liz always had the ability to turn a phrase around and make people laugh.  She was an avid photographer and documented her travels thoroughly.  She loved to travel and spend quality time outdoors with friends and family, especially her son, Ryan, and grandson, Ryder.

She is survived by her son, Ryan T. Sartain, his wife Candice, and her grandson Ryder, all of Jonesboro; her sister, Carol Tarlton Lawler and nephew, Tech Sgt John T. Steudte of Camden, TN; her niece, Lauren E. Steudte of Savannah GA; and her uncle, Bill Floyd of Humboldt TN.

Services will be held at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro on Monday, December 23rd, at 2:00 pm. Public visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Monday.  Private interment will be later at Lawrence Memorial Cemetery in Walnut Ridge, AR.
