Elizabeth Hope Riley Rook, age 48, of Black Oak, Arkansas, gained her angel wings on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. She was an amazing mom to her son, Gavin Rook. He was her heart and soul. She was born to Donald Riley and Patsy Davis Riley on November 27, 1977 at the home of her maternal grandmother in Lake City.

She loved her family with passion. She loved life. She was tenacious and full of spunk. Being a caretaker, she was a passionate caregiver; you never had to ask. She was the first one to be there in your time of need. If you had the privilege of knowing her, you were upmost fortunate. To know her was to love her. Hope loved clothes, shoes, makeup and jewelry. She dressed to impress and that she did.

Hope is survived by her son, Gavin Rook, of the home; her parents, Donald Riley and Patsy Davis Riley; 3 sisters, Shannon Riley of Lake City, LoriAnn Lowe of Asheville, NC, and Shalea Hodgkiss; 1 brother-in-law, Kyle Hodgkiss; 1 brother, her twin, Israel Riley of Lake City; 5 nephews, Ayden Riley, Maximus Self, Apollo Hodgkiss, Tobi Hodgkiss, and Everest Hodgkiss; 2 nieces, Taylor Riley of Ashland, KY and Maggie-Grace Lowe of Asheville, NC; several aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she adored; and her and Gavin’s dog, Atlas.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Amos Riley and Helen Smith Riley and her maternal grandparents, Everet Davis and Jewel Timms Davis; 5 uncles, Billy Lee Riley, Mike Riley, Jerry Riley, Shelby Davis, and Doug Davis; 5 aunts, Melba Riley Lewis, Margeret Riley Simpson, Carol Jean Weldon Williams, Jenny Linginfelter, and Annie Wisham; and 7 cousins, Thomas Lewis, Dana Wisham, Marsha Davis Tolwitzke, Michael Davis, Tara Pace Ogle, Chris Connally, and Dallas Davis.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. with David Gates officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland. Active pallbearers include: Jack McCann, Jonathan Riley, Mitchell Davis, Sean Davis, Dylan Connally, Jordan Connally, Josh Riley, and Luke Lamb.
