Elizabeth Metcalf, 82, of Jonesboro passed from this life Wednesday, July 01, 2015. She was born March 16, 1933 here in Jonesboro to the late Mark and Prilly Campbell Curtis. Elizabeth lived the majority of her life residing in Jonesboro and was a long time member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church. She loved flowers, gardening fishing, and watching birds. Elizabeth also enjoyed singing in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband: Earl Metcalf of 67 years; one daughter: Marsha Metcalf; four brothers and two sisters.

Elizabeth is survived by two sons: Ric (Patsy) Metcalf of Jonesboro and Rob Metcalf of Decatur, AL; two daughters: Cassandera (Ed) Garner Solivta, FL and Vicki (Paul) White of Jonesboro; one brother: Robert Earl Curtis of Jonesboro; three sisters: Lavelle (Lynn) Scott of Bay, Mary Swindle of Jonesboro, and Isabell Davidson of Fresno, CA; six grandchildren: Joe Woody, Chad White, Melanie Black, Kelly Webb, Andy Metcalf, and Camp Metcalf; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the start of the service on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be at 2p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Jerry Jolly officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log cemetery with grandsons and great-grandsons as active pallbearers: Joe Woody, Chad White, Andy Metcalf, Camp Metcalf, Michael Brumbly, and Patrick Woody. Honorary pallbearers include The Deacons of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.
