Elizabeth Ballew Peterson

Elizabeth Pearl Ballew Peterson, 92, of Bentonville, formerly of Forrest City, AR, departed this life on Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Bentonville, AR at Bradford House Nursing Facility.

She was born January 12, 1919 in Jonesboro, AR, to parents Zeb B. and Pearl A. Ballew. She was the last living of their nine children.

She is preceded in death by her husband Edgar Allen Peterson III.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two sons, Richard A. Peterson of Little Rock, AR, and Thomas Peterson of Forrest City, AR; a daughter, Emma Peterson Miller of Rogers, AR; three grandchildren, Robin Peterson Scheiderer of Bella Vista, AR, April Peterson Guererro of Cherry Valley, AR, and Zeb Miller of Bentonville, AR. She also leaves behind 6 great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Elizabeth moved with her husband Pete to Forrest City, AR in 1949, where they raised three children. She was a homemaker and an artist. Some years after Pete’s death, she moved to Bentonville.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Dr. Gene Crawley officiating. Burial will follow at the City Cemetery in Jonesboro.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 AM to 10:00 prior to the service. Jonesboro.
