Eleanor 'Jackie' Katz

Eleanor 'Jackie' Andrews Katz, 82, of Jonesboro passed away Monday, August 21, 2006, at the home. She was a wonderful wife and mother.

She was born March 25, 1924, in Jonesboro, daughter of the late Lillian and Allie Eldon Andrews Sr. She graduated from Jonesboro High School, was a homemaker and volunteered for the Red Cross.

She is survived and will be forever loved by her husband of 62 years, Charles Katz, and two daughters, Nancy and Claire, all of Jonesboro; her brother, Dr. A. E. Andrews Jr. of Texarkana, nieces, nephews and cousins including Maxine Mitchell of Jonesboro, and wonderful caregivers Geraldine, Patricia and Loeda.

Graveside services will be private. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-4 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis 38105, the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, PO Box 1042, Jonesboro 72401, or a charity of choice.
