Mr. Elbie Earl King, 83, of Jonesboro, formerly of Kennett, departed this life on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born January 27, 1939, in Monette, AR, to the late Elbie and Anna King.
Elbie was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Jonesboro. He spent over 30 years as an electrical engineer with Entergy. He always enjoyed reading and watching movies with his grandkids.
In addition to his parents, Elbie is preceded in death by his wife Ruby King, and his brother Tommy King.
He is survived by two sons; Paul (Cathy) King of Jonesboro, Mark (Rhonda) King of Magnolia, AR; one daughter, Jennifer Fowler of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Brad (Kasandra) King of Jonesboro, Josh (Amber) King of Texarkana, AR, Cameron ( Taryn) King of Maumelle, AR, Abby (Daniel) Parham of Bentonville, AR, Katie (Jon) Hamilton of Bono, Molly Fowler of Jonesboro; six great grandchildren, Emma-Claire King of Jonesboro, Collins Anderson of Logan, UT, Ellie Anderson of Logan, UT, Sully Goodwin of Texarkana, AR, Margo King of Texarkana, AR, Charlotte Hamilton of Bono, Jett King of Maumelle, AR; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit at Emerson Funeral Chapel, Thursday, May 12, 2022, beginning at 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park.
