Elbert Tate

Elbert Tate, 88, of Nixa, MO passed from this life Thursday, July 18, 2019 at his home. He was born to the late Wesley and Hazel Tate on April 5, 1931 in Bono.

After coming from the Bono area Elbert has spent his later years in Nixa, MO where he was a member of the Union Hill Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, Elbert is preceded in death by his wife, Elois Tate; and brothers, Robert Tate and Delbert Tate.

Elbert is survived by two sons, Ronnie (Karen) Tate of Sherwood, AR and David (Missy) Tate of Texarkana, AR; two brothers, Dairl Tate of Louisville, KY and Jimmy Tate of Judsonia, AR; and grandchildren, Saria McGovern of Albuquerque, NM, Stacy Mapes of Albuquerque, NM, Jennifer Craig of Pleasant Hope, MO, Jeremy Tate of Ozark, MO and Asha Robinson of Jacksonville; nine great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 9-10 am Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 10 am Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home with Richard Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Wayne Tate, Gaylon Tate, Everett Tate, Randy Tate, Russell Tate, and Jeremy Craig.
