Elaine Davis,77, Jonesboro, died Friday morning at her residence.
Elaine was born on April 23, 1936 in Ozark to the late Jess and Mildred Nichols. She was a co-captain for the1954 Ozark High School girl’s state champion basketball team. After high school she moved from Ozark to Jonesboro, and married the love of her life. She worked over 20 years for the Jonesboro Human Development Center, and her favorite hobbies was fishing and cooking.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; two sons, Ricky Don and Barry Davis; and sister, Juanita Standridge.
She is survived by two sons, Randy (Susan) Davis of Jonesboro and Danny (Marsha) Davis of Bartlett, TN; two brothers, Sonny Nichols of Clarksville and Glen Nichols of Ozark; twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2pm Monday in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jimmy Hildebrand officiating and burial to follow at Pine Hill cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Zachary Davis, Tim Brown, Dewayne Jacks, Kelvin Rice, Bradley Davis, and Brad Riley.
Visitation will be from 1pm until service time.
