Edward Larue Jenkins

Edward Larue Jenkins, 59, of Jonesboro passed from this life Saturday, April 4, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born to the late Alexander and Marjorie Jenkins in Bogalusa, Louisiana on April 6, 1960. Edward has lived in Jonesboro for the last two years after coming from Louisiana. He was of the Christian faith. Edward loved Peterbilt trucks and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Most of all he loved his family and would do anything in the world for anyone.

In addition to his parents, Edward is preceded in death by his brother Michael Phillips and sister, Nelda Jenkins.

Edward is survived by his wife, Laurel Jenkins, of the home; two sons, Edward A. Jenkins of Louisiana and Matthew Jenkins of Jonesboro; daughter, Angelia Jenkins of Memphis; two brothers, Marlin Jenkins of Pine, Louisiana and Mark Sumrall of Kentucky; three sisters, Ruthie Taylor of Utah, Donna Rylee of Louisiana, and Darlene Sumrall of Texas; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
