Edna Morrison Wise

Edna Morrison Wise, 88, of Jonesboro died Saturday evening at her daughter’s home. Born on the Herget Plantation, she was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dock Wise; son, Bobby Ray Wise; grandson, Scott Wise; granddaughter, Robin Mackey Panhorst; and great-granddaughter, Sarah Armstrong.

She is survived by seven children, Bruce Wise, Sacramento, CA; Billie Matthews, Williford; Carol Armstrong, Jonesboro; Barbara Wise Mackey, Paragould; Brenda Schultz, Greenville, SC; Pamela Wise, Mountain Home; Jerri Keith, Bono; brothers, Edgar Morrison, Bay; Berl Watts, Bay; 2 sisters, Betty Webb, Jonesboro; Lois Stamp, Jonesboro; 18 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Troy Mackey officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
