Edna Mae McGough 90, of Jonesboro died Wednesday May 8, 2013 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. Edna was born in Guy, Arkansas on February 24, 1923 to W.A. and Ada Morgan. She was one of the 10 children born. She had lived in Jonesboro since 1963 and was married to Leslie (Windy) McGough who died in 2002. Following Windy’s death, Edna resided at Southwind Heights for 9 years, and then moved in with her son, Gary, until her passing away.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church for 47 years. While her health allowed, she was a Sunday school teacher, worked in the Care Center, Vacation Bible School, mission surveys, an active member of the WMU and faithful servant of her stewardship. Edna worked at Emerson Electric in Paragould and at Dillard’s for many years in the lingerie department.

She was preceded in death by her former husbands, Victor Braden and A.D. Wright, brothers; Vernon Morgan, Noel Morgan, Elmer Morgan, Garlon Morgan, Sam F. Morgan and W.A. Morgan Jr., sisters; Elsie Tucker and Ruby Thompson Norris.

Survived by her son; Gary Braden of Jonesboro.

Daughter; Loyce Haywood and husband James of St. Charles, Missouri.

Sister; Mary Ruth Scholes of Jonesboro.

7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 11, at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Bruce Tippit officiating. Burial will be at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Friday May 10, at Emerson Funeral Home.
