Eddie Odell "Gunner" Simmons

Mr. Eddie Odell “Gunner” Simmons, 68, of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice house surrounded by his family. He was born December 24, 1953 to the late Alden and Maurenn Simmons in Gary, Indiana.

Gunner was a farm hand most of his life, but worked at Wheeler Brick Company. He loved to go fishing, watch westerns, but most of all spend time with his grandkids.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by; one sister, Linda Hensley; two brothers, Gary Simmons, Danny Simmons.

He is survived by; three sons, Jeremy (Amber) Simmons of Walnut Ridge, Eddie Gray of Indiana, Jessie Simmons of Walnut Ridge,; three daughters, Diane (David) Franklin of Bay, Jamie Hutchison of Tulot, AR, Dianna Davis of Hoxie, AR; four brothers; three sisters; 15 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Friends may visit at Emerson Funeral Home, Friday, June 17, 2022, beginning at 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Graveside services will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Markham Cemetery in Egypt, AR.
