Eddie B Manning Jr.

Eddie B Manning Jr. of Jonesboro departed this life Friday, April 23, 2021, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center at the age of 85. He was born to the late Eddie Manning Sr and May Stiles on April 29, 1935.

He spent several years as the volunteer Chief Firefighter in Ozark Acres.

Eddie B spent most of his time building model airplanes, he was like an oral Historian, and loved telling stories while spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents Eddie is preceded by his wife Rose Manning; one brother, Ronald Manning; one daughter, Suzanna Masters.

He is survived by one son, Wesley Manning; three step daughters, Rebecca (Forrest) Burton, Rachel (Fred) Thurber, Bethanie Wight; one sister, Susan Peters; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:00p.m – 2:00p.m, Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Emerson Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:30p.m at Oaklawn Cemetery with Blake Ligon officiating.
