Eddie “Ed” Brittain, 65, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, October 2, 2011, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He had lived in Jonesboro for the past 30 years, a past post commander for the VFW and a member of the Church of Christ Church. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include a son, Wesley Brittain of Spain; daughter, Shann Ferrieira of Jamestown, North Carolina; sisters, Willie Mae Honeycutt, Bucannon of Tennessee; Kitty Watkins of Sturkie, Arkansas; Lela Mullnix of Independence, Missouri; Phyllis Brown of Betton, Missouri, and Linda Bishop of Salem, Arkansas; two grandchildren and a special friend CherylKail.
A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the VFW on Airport Road with Jerry Todd officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Honorary pallbearers will be the member of the VFW Post 1991. There will be no public visitation.
