Eddie "Coonie" Cooper Jr.

Eddie “Coonie” Cooper Jr., 65, of Jonesboro, passed away Sunday January 27, 2008 at St. Bernards Medical Center.

He was born in Lake City and a lifetime resident of Jonesboro. He was a retired manager of thirty seven years for Big Star Grocery Store and a member of Nettleton Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Cooper, his parents Eddie and Beatrice Peeler Cooper Sr. and two brothers W.E. and A.J. Cooper.

Survived by his son; Eric Cooper and his wife Christy of Jonesboro.

Two sisters; Pauline Morud of Portage, Michigan.
Patsy Cooper of Jonesboro.

One Granddaughter; Avery Cooper.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday January 30, at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Ken Stallings officiating. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Pallbearers will be Bill McMasters, James McMasters, Nathan McMasters, Keith Burnette, Marvin Miller and Gary Thompson.
