Eddie A. Johnson

Eddie A. Johnson, 71, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He had lived in Jonesboro all of his life and was of the Church of Christ belief. Eddie served in the US Navy and retired from A T & T after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Brenda Johnson, of the home; sons, John Johnson (Lisa); Stephen Johnson (Cindi) and Mark Brewer all of Jonesboro; daughter, Sunshine Johnson, Collierville, Tennessee; brothers, Mike Johnson of Jonesboro; Troy Johnson of Searcy and Jack Johnson of Jonesboro; sister, Frances Caldwell of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Daniel, Kevin, Tiffany, Chris, and Felecia; and 5 great grandchildren 3 nieces, 4 nephews and one great niece.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Terry Joe Key officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Herndon Cemetery with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Chuck Foley and Phillip Gay. Visitation will be from 2-4 Sunday at Emerson Funeral Home.
